Engineer killing C.A.T.

So why do young Engineers do(try for) M.B.A..........???

Before exploring this topic just think how can a guy become MASTER of Business Administration with no real time work experience or very little experience in technical domain that too of a small designation.
It's like, trying to become a playboy just after getting married (to technical field).
My boneheaded friends who are trying hard to kill C.A.T. irrespective of their ability/aukat gives following reasons :
excuse 1 ->we'll get good package after M.B.A degree.
(than why the hell you wasted one seat of engineering if you wanna earn money on the bases of your M.B.A degree, yhe paise ki hawas kaab bhujhegee and by the way elders taught us to be satisfied with what ever we have).
excuse 2->work is less in management side(you shirker... do reality check ).
excuse 3->for marriage girl's parents prefer M.B.A guys (now that's a genuine reason .....poor engineers, need to blame poor sex ratio of our country)
excuse 4->i wanna enjoy college life once again
(even if you are not taking education loan, paying so much money as fees for two year course oh...sorry two year college fun ,doesn't make sense...or does it...?).

All these newly born engineers should first identify their ability and accordingly should pursue their career, even the Amir khan baba said the same thing in tare zameen par,
they should think "ek bekar scientist baanae mai kuch nahi, ghaas katnae walae baano par acha tho koi matlab hai". My advice to all of you ,don't just waste 200 bucks on movie ticket, learn from movies, make notes out of them.
Let me sum up for you :
their are two kinds of young engineers, jobless engineers and unsatisfied engineers
first we'll talk about jobless engineer's
so when a technical dog completes his engineering and have no jack or uncle-aunties to get him decent job he faces a biggest question of his life i.e. What next...???
as he has parents to answer to and relatives whom his parents are answerable to.
just imagine a communication between parents and their family friend.
{
family friend: "bhaai shaab apka ladka aaj kaal kya kar raha hai, uski tho engineering complete ho gayae hogi"
think of option this poor bhaai saab has:
1.that his son was unable to get selected in campus recruitment, hence he is searching a job
but unable to find one...in short he's of no use.
2.he is preparing for M.B.A. or doing M.B.A.
choosing option 2 over 1 will make bhai shaab feel lot better, as he's hopeful that his useless product will get job after this course.
}
what other option do a jobless engineer has.........remember suicide is not an option.
Opting for M.tech, but usually they are so frustrated with those technical exams that their is no more power left in their battery to survive any more technical torture.
Keep searching for job : as we know getting job is easiest in campus recruitment and if one is unable to get a master for himself in campus recruitment, then for getting job in open market without any jack he need an eye opener and lots of maa ka ashirwad.

Now let's talk about second and my favorite category , the unsatisfied engineer's....!!!
These are once who has job but they are not happy with it (especially s/w eng..), mainly because of money. If you notice these people they are laborious dog and they work very hard through out their engineering to land up in a job and now all they have to do is work from 9am to 6 pm that's all..., if u compare it with their past experience it's just equivalent to college hours but what about the assignments, of which they are habitual .
They have worked late night right from class 10,11,12,1st year,2nd year,3rd year,4th year of engineering and suddenly no late night work.....this make them feel awkward about themselves.
(kolu ka bail hai... chain se kaise bathega...!!)
hence they turn up for C.A.T. like every one else.

Lets see economic viability of doing a M.B.A course
assumption: guy is placed in a s/w firm having package of 3.5lac.
In 3year he'll earn around 3.5*3=10.5lac along with work experience which is priceless and
if he works well in his company, most probably he'll be having package of at least 5lac after 3 year.
where as for not so extraordinary guy it'll take at least one year of preparation to get into any B+ or A grade college, which offer average package of around 8lacs.If you look specifically to the average package offered to fresher or little experienced guys it would be less than 8lac we'll take it as 6lac and lets consider whole expenses of doing M.B.A. for both year to be 10lac.
Therefore his output of these three years would be (zero)0- 10lac + job of six 6lac.

Keeping the career growth in both these situation(and inflation) in mind, it'll take around
two year of work for a M.B.A guy to just get the returns of his input, and another 6-7year would be require to level the score with the guy who continued to work in company.

Hence the bottom line is "Dikhave pe mat jao apni akal lagao....!!!"
Which college taught Lalit Modi such a profitable Business's tricks/style or ideas or it's in his blood......tell me the name of college, i'll do M.B.A. from same college and please suggest me some good books for C.A.T. preparation.............i give excuse no: 3 for myself.

  2. no engineer in the world is the CEO of a big company.....
only MBA or people with some management degree...

what abt knowledge he gained while doing MBA...

what abt the next 3 yrs....?? will the package not increase??? compare with 3+ yrs.. not 3 yrs... then u will know that 3 yrs will be wasted or not...

lalit modi stole the idea from ICL.....
and look what happened now.. he is sacked....

article is good but u presented only half a picture....
